Day One ... from Brennan and Matt

Stepping off the plane, we entered a new world. Everything looked, felt, and sounded different. Our bright green shirts got us through customs without bag searches or lines. Reverend Twum greeted us as we walked out of the airport and boarded our bus.
The bus ride was unlike anything imaginable. From no speed limits, to no stop signs, to passing on two lane dirt roads, we flew across the Ghanaian countryside. Locals tried to sell wares while we were in traffic jams, and we drew attention from passersby.
After our long journey, it felt good to finally get to our home for the next twelve days, the Royal Basin Resort. The accommodations are great, and the boys conveniently have the two largest rooms out of the group.

Excited for adventures to come!

  1. Awesome to here all is going well and the travel to Kumasi was not too bad. I am reliving my trip through your eyes and so proud of you all for making the journey to help those suffering from the AIDS epidemic in Africa. And you have already touched so many people's lives.

Peace and God's love to you and enjoy the journey,
