We're here!

Long journey and lots of tired faces as we rolled into the Royal Basin. But we made it without any mishap or trauma or even delay. All went to plan. Mostly, the trip was just hurry up and wait in both Cincinnati and in New York at Kennedy Airport … board, unboard, passport boarding card handy, wait in line, pre-check, post check.
None of us really slept very well on the plane. It was just too uncomfortable. The seats seemed to not adjust back too far, and, oh man, I’ve got a sore neck.
Then a 5 hour bus trip to Kumasi. It was fascinating, and we’ll have more about that in a later blog, but when we finally arrived, we were ready to stretch out. The bus was some Toyota deal that seated all of us but wasn’t roomy. Most tried to sleep, but did not.
The hotel seems excellent. After getting unpacked we got changed and everyone perked up and felt better. Then we had an excellent dinner. By that, I mean the food was American and good. We had a devotional moment, discussed tomorrow, and are all probably going to sleep well tonight.
